On a beautiful Sunday afternoon, March 16, the third edition of the Bronco Fan Day took place at the Kortrijk-Wevelgem homebase. The recently finished Bronco 99+18 was put outside under a clear blue sky, welcoming the many visitors. We are very proud to have such a dedicated group of Bronco fans who support us so much. The Bronco fan day has really become a gathering of friends.

With the extraordinary good weather and temperatures around 20 degrees, it was a real pleasure to be able to put everything outside. The Bronco Booth was put together and the BBQ was lighted with the traditional local ‘boerenworst’ sausages. Many Bronco fans came over, from close-by, from the other side of the country and even from outside Belgium. It was a real honor to meet so many of our friends after a long winter.

As the icing on the cake, Tony planned to ferry the Bronco in the late afternoon to the UK, for the final approval flights before receiving a permanent certificate of flight. So in around 5PM, the Bronco Crew Chiefs performed the start-up procedures and Tony cranked the engines in front of the attending fans. After taxiing to the active runway, Tony took off and made a nice fly-past waving to the crowd before making the hop over the channel heading for Manston, where he arrived safely.

With the Bronco flying off, it was time to say goodbye to all the attending fans and wish them a safe trip back home. Hereby we would like to thank everyone for the great support we have received! It was a perfect opener of the new season, and we hope to have equally good weather on all the events we will be visiting this summer, see you soon.
